If you're seeking a manufacturing environment where you can develop a career and enjoy the process, our team could be the perfect fit for you!What You'll Do:The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meets or exceed quality standards established by Kerry and our customers. This position will verify conformity through measurement and assessment. The role of QA technician requires sound judgement to make rational decisions pertaining to recommended adjustments, corrective actions, and disposition of goods. Success in this position requires performing in a fast-paced performance with cross-functional teams. You duties may include:
- Daily lab startup & shutdown, sample/project assistance, lab housekeeping
- Assessment of finished product quality using standard test methods.
- Data entry of test results into SAP software.
- Provide support to plant production to ensure continuous quality operations.
- Investigate, collect data and implement solutions to quality issues.
- Recommend changes and improvements based upon analysis, knowledge, and experience.
- Assist Quality Manager with special projects, reports, and training needs.
- Inspection of machines/vessels/work areas to ensure compliance with GMP and food safety standards.
- Maintain and secure manufacturing specification-controlled documents.
- Generate shift paperwork or paperless records to support daily shift activity.
- Perform random case audits for quality, package, and coding compliance.
- Collection, assembly and shipment of customer samples and paperwork.
- High School diploma or equivalency required.
- Associates of Science or higher degree and/or 2 years of related experience preferred.
- At least 1 yr. of food or chemical manufacturing experience, quality testing and analysis role preferred.
- Prior training in HACCP, SQF, CGMP's helpful.
- Utilization of SAP, MS, Excel and general manufacturing software.
- Ability to read, understand and follow laboratory, sensory and physical testing protocols and methods.
- High attention to detail and accuracy necessary.
- Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams and deliver positive or negative results effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
