- Develop LOM plans and long-range designs.
- Lead trade-off studies, reserve calculations, and optimization initiatives.
- Oversee engineers and value-adding projects.
- Manage consultants and mentor junior staff.
- Support project execution, budgeting, compliance, and strategic reporting.
- Support regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement.
- Drive continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mining Engineering, or related field.
- MBA (Preferred)
- Minimum 12 years of experience in mine planning, operations, and engineering leadership roles.
- Professional registration (QP. or equivalent).
- Advanced proficiency in mine planning tools, cost modeling, and strategic planning software (Deswik, Xeras, etc.).
- Strong understanding of underground and open-pit mining methods, including multi-orebody planning.
- Proficiency in cost modeling, budgeting, and financial analysis using tools such as SAP and Xeras.
- Experience leading trade-off studies, reserve calculations, and optimization initiatives.
- Ability to integrate technical data across disciplines and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Skilled in managing consultant scopes, technical reviews, and capital project execution.
- Familiarity with ESG considerations and alignment with strategic planning frameworks.
- Proven track record in long-term planning, LOM strategy development, and reserve reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership in major capital projects (greenfield, brownfield, or operating assets).
- Experience mentoring junior and senior engineers and leading cross-functional teams.
- Involvement in business improvement initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to present to executive leadership.
