This multi-site role serves our KeHE Aurora, Colorado food distribution center (DC), as well as our Mountain Man Nut and Fruit Company (Mountain Man) food manufacturing, distribution, and retail locations in Parker, Centennial, and Littleton, Colorado. Our ideal candidate is a people-centric, business-minded problem solver who takes initiative and ownership for continuous improvement.Under the guidance of the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), this role serves as the first point of contact for front-line associates and provides guidance to site leadership for all things people and culture. This includes ensuring a positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle, accurate and timely data entry and analysis, and applying advanced employee relations skills.Additional responsibilities include partnering with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), such as Talent Development, HR Compliance, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards, to realize organizational objectives. This role requires advanced workplace investigation, communication, and program management skills.This role supports round-the-clock operations and requires a high degree of flexibility to work at varying locations (as listed above) and on various shifts.Essential Functions
Consult local management teams and employees on HR practices, policies, and procedures
Responsible for driving company and safety culture throughout the facility
Ensure the successful recruitment, selection, and onboarding for all new employees, including pre-hire, onboarding, and probationary periods
Provide guidance to employees and management on company benefits programs such as retirement, medical/dental/vision, and leaves (federal, state, local, and company-provided)
Collaborate with the Leaves team to ensure compliance with all leave programs, including Family and Medical Leave (Federal), Colorado Paid Family and Medical Leave, Workers’ Compensation, and KeHE’s other leave programs
Work in partnership with the management team on employee relations issues including, but not limited to, workplace investigations
Provide guidance to management throughout the performance evaluation and merit processes
Facilitate various trainings including new hire orientation, coaching and feedback, and performance enablement
Represent the Company in legal matters, including unemployment claims and hearings
Maintain safeguards of confidential information; maintain personnel records, and ensure timely and accurate data entry into various systems, such as our HR Information System (HRIS)
Serve as a primary point of contact for local community and belonging initiatives
Three to five years of HR Generalist experience, PHR/SPHR preferred
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. A combination of related experience and education will be considered
Must be able to read, write, and speak Spanish at an advanced level (C1 to C2)
Strong candidates will be efficient in time management and supporting HR initiatives with minimal supervision
High emotional intelligence with the ability to handle matters with patience and resilience
Capable of prioritizing and completing multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints
Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve complex problems or issues by using judgement that is consistent with policies, procedures, regulations, or lawsAble to work effectively with diverse audiences, including frontline employees, peers, local, regional, and corporate leadership and COE team membersStrong communication skills, including the ability to present and defend concepts to a wide range of audiencesWorking knowledge of federal, state, and local employment lawsPreferred Qualifications
Operations management experience is highly preferred
