SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
- Receives direct supervision and/or technical direction from the Director, Workforce Development.
- Exercises supervision on part-time instructors.
- Provide classroom and laboratory instruction to students
- Prepare lesson plans and schedule classroom activities
- Utilize online Learning Management software, such as Canvas
- Develop and prepare supplement materials to enhance textbook lessons
- Develop and prepare tests to evaluate student performance; grade record individual scores
- Provide classroom demonstrations on various equipment and machinery; develop laboratory assignments to provide hands on experience as appropriate
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
- Maintain and submit all required paperwork in a neat, accurate and timely fashion, including but not limited to: class rosters, registration forms, pay sheets, attendance forms and grade rosters
- Oversee the implementation of policies and procedures related to required teaching area and in accordance with CFCC policies and guidelines
- Ensures safe practices are followed in the classroom and during lab activities
- Ensures equipment and supplies are inventoried, stored, and ordered as needed
- Assess the relevancy and impact of various lessons and recommend improvements as needed
- Assist in the recruitment of students from the community and area high schools
- Oversee and participate in the field studies and assignment; travel with students to provide assistance and instruction as appropriate
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

- Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college/university
- Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pilot's certifications and endorsements to meet departmental requirements under Part 141 to include:
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate
- FAA Valid and Current Certified Flight Instructor
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation from a regionally accredited college/university
- Certified flight instructor- Multi engine
- Greater than 3 years of relevant industry experience in aviation
- Post-secondary teaching experience in a Part 61 or Part 141 environment
- Experience with assessment of student learning outcomes
- This position will work 40 hours per week. Classes will be held during the day, evenings and in a hybrid (face to face and online) setting.
- Requires 3 letters of recommendation and/or references from current supervisor and previous supervisors.

- Successful candidates who are offered a position are required to submit their OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS for all degrees earned prior to their first day of employment. If highest level of education is a High School Diploma or equivalent, proof of completion is required.
- Successful candidates who have obtained their education outside of the United States and its territories must have their academic degree(s) validated, at their own expense, by an outside credential evaluation service as equivalent to the Baccalaureate or Master's degree conferred by a regionally accredited college or university in the United States.
