The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Stores Specialist who will work in a large research and stockroom. Responsibilities include picking, packing and shipping orders, receiving and stocking inventory, and inventory control. The Specialist must learn and follow documented standard operating procedures. The Specialist will interface with customers via telephone, email, and face to face, thus excellent customer service skills are a must. Other departmental tasks including, but not limited to logging chemicals into the chemical inventory system and assisting the Operations Manager with duties assigned as needed. Must have strong computer skills. Customer sales and service. Inventory control. Computer and communications skills. Extended periods of standing, walking and ability to lift approximately 50 lbs..
