Looking for an experienced Civil Construction Estimator to join one of Boston's leading General Contractors in their expanding civil division. They compete with all the leading civil & Site work contractors in Boston and this is an extremely lucrative opportunity to get in with a firm that has a pipeline built out until 2029. Apply now for IMMEDIATE consideration!The Sr. Civil Construction Estimator will be responsible for:
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and other documents to accurately estimate the scope and cost of civil construction projects
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to support bid pricing.
  • Develop bid proposals and submit tenders for public and private sector projects.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather essential information.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams during the pre-construction phase.
  • Maintain a database of historical cost data, unit prices, and production rates.
  • Identify potential risks, value engineering options, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and market conditions affecting construction costs.
  • Support contract negotiations and project handovers.

  • 10-15+ years of relatable experience
  • Degree in construction management, engineering or related (preferred, not required)
  • Proven track record of success supporting projects in the civil construction space including sitework, utilities, electrical distribution, earthwork, etc.
  • Strong computer/software capabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership ability or interest in managing others
