Eagle Rock Properties is a privately held, fully integrated real estate operating company whose principals have over 20 years of experience in acquiring, financing, developing, leasing, managing, and disposing of real estate. Eagle Rock Management, located in Plainview, NY is the property management arm of the firm and only manages Eagle Rock owned entities. Our company has over 200 real estate professionals currently operating roughly 7,000 apartments throughout Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Massachusetts and Maryland. We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team.Responsibilities:· Review of revenues and expenses for accuracy while examining general ledger postings and rent rolls· Coordination with Receivable and Payable personnel to ensure timely posting for all transactions in the correct period and proper general ledger coding· Preparation of supporting schedules for all balance sheet accounts and selective P&L accounts· Preparing and posting journal entries as needed· Research, analyze and provide meaningful and accurate information and report as required· Review of monthly reports to analyze variances reportable to management· Communication with fellow employees on budget variances and explanations· Monthly reporting of financial information - balance sheet, profit and loss, yearly comparatives and budget variance reports· Review fellow accountants' monthly workpapers and financial reports and make recommendations for achieving complete sets of books· Ensure proper procedures are followed that maintain internal controls· Handle deadlines and other projects as neededQualifications:· Detail and action oriented, analytical, and problem solver, strong work ethics· Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced deadline environment while managing multiple tasks· Ultimate professionalism, interpersonal and teamwork skills· proficiency in Excel· Industry experience: Real Estate of Property Management is a plusEagle Rock Management provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics
