This position will represent and advance Workforce Development to local elected officials, business and civic leaders, and workforce development organizations to build consensus in the interest of providing opportunities to offenders. The goal is to assist in developing a workforce to meet the needs of the economy. The major areas of responsibilities are policy and system building, member support, external relations, administration, and compliance. Departmental supervision is exercised over assigned staff responsible for enhancing the work skills and capacities of offenders under the supervision of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services to prepare them for employment in various labor markets.A master's degree in a related field and experience in workforce development, human services or social services programs or a bachelor's degree in a related field and more than two years of experience in workforce development, human services or social services programs.Experience with data analysis and reporting with regards to labor market trends and workforce development.SCDPPPS DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS ARE CONSIDERED DURING THE INTERVIEW PHASE.
