Take a look at Lockheed Martin's Rotary and Mission Systems!We are seeking a Senior Network Systems Engineer to participate on design teams for computing infrastructure, primarily as a computer network designer or architect in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.In this role, you will participate in network engineering activities including product selection, design, development, deployment, integration and test.Note:
  • This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
  • Some travel is required to offsite locations including direct waterfront support to surface ships.

Basic Qualifications*Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance to be considered for this position*
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Engineering field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 7+ years experience as a mid-senior experience as a Linux system or network engineer, designing, implementing, deploying, and supporting a production computing infrastructure
  • Cyber security certification such as CompTIA Security+, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Knowledge of configuring and deploying network switches and routers including VLANs and routing protocols (including TCP/IP and Multicast)
Desired skills
  • In-depth knowledge in Layer 2 and 3 routing and switching
  • Strong understanding of Linux security, including SELinux, iptables, FreeIPA authentication service
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Bash, and Python
  • Familiarity with automation tools, such as Ansible
