Our Logistics team is currently on the lookout for a Logistics Systems Specialist in . As our Logistics Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for the effective execution of special and standard item setup processes and systems, cycle count processes for raw materials, global indirect procurement (GIP), plant purchasing systems, and raw material procurement.

What you'll be doing
  • Participate in logistics processes such GIP procurement, process improvements, and production planning
  • Own execution of special and standard item systems and processes
  • Quote processes - validation and maintenance of costs, quote file maintenance, processing of quotes; Item setups in SAP, MX, POD labels database; special item order management process; new standard item setup templates and process documentation of processes; partner with Quality team on GSM templates, approvals, and improvements; collaborate with Specials Teams on system issues and improvements
  • Track and analyze specials process performance and champion process improvements
  • Collaborate with production team to manage short-term capacity in specials value stream
  • Perform backup for Specials Planner and Specials Coordinator roles
  • Ensure that processes and systems are evolving appropriately to facilitate business needs
  • Own cycle counting process for raw material and GIP
  • Track cycle count discrepancies and adjustments and identify areas for improvements
  • Lead improvement activities to reduce waste identified by raw material and GIP cycle counts
  • Execute daily and weekly materials planning, release purchase orders, and manage inventory
  • Manage raw material inventories by maintaining and updating order points and quantities
  • Plan and track inventory quantities and values; plan inventory targets
  • Identify and execute disposition for obsolete inventory
  • Manage setup process for new raw material specifications
  • Own plant purchasing function and ensure compliance with Armstrong policy
  • Create and maintain SAP processes for procurement, including outline agreements, purchase orders, and MRP settings for materials
  • Process requests and manage records for vendor setup and maintenance
  • Administer invoices and exceptions in VIM Workflow invoice processing
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies, blocked invoices, GR-IR issues, open order reports, and other purchasing issues
What will make you successful:
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, cost accounting, purchasing management, or other related Logistics functions
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and math skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related
  • Previous experience with SAP
