- Assists with troubleshooting and repairs cleans, lubricates and services a wide variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic devices.
- Assists with installation and modification of production equipment systems.
- Troubleshoots, evaluates and makes recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
- Possesses competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility maintenance.
- Responds immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns.
- Maintains and operates life safety/fire systems.
- Performs assembly of production fixtures.
- Practices safe work habits at all times.
- Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habits.
- Prioritizes daily work scheduling for self and other technicians.
- May be only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts; may be required to work extended periods of time without relief when responding to priority/emergency situations (including overtime type assignments); may require shift work and/or on call duties.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years related trade experience in a production maintenance-related trade.
- Technical, vocational or on-the-job training in the following areas, with an emphasis on the first three: mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing and carpentry, or similar combination of experience and education.
- Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in maintenance work.
