Position Description:Ryder is immediately hiring a Temporary Warehouse Associate in Whitestown, IndianaWarehouse Positions Pay Weekly
  • Hourly Pay $18.24 per hour
  • Additional Pay: $1.50 per hour when assigned to second shift
  • Schedule: Second Shift 4:30pm-2:30am. Will be working 4x10 hour days on a rotating schedule Monday-Saturday

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of related warehouse experience required
One (1) year or more related warehouse experience preferredLearn to operate powered industrial truck(s), such as: stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc., including how to operate and maintain (change battery, recognize common mechanical issues) intermediate requiredMay be required to operate manual and/or automated other warehouse/manufacturing equipment (such as a packaging line) intermediate preferredPowered industrial truck certificationAbility to read, do basic mathematics in English for the purpose of safety, work instructions, policies, etcAbility to lift up to 50 pounds unassistedAbility to input data into the WMS computer system (s) in useWork overtime as assignedAbility to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)Ability to work independently and as member of a teamFlexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environmentCapable of multi-tasking, highly organized with excellent time management skillsDetail oriented with excellent follow-up practicesLearn to operate powered industrial truck(s), such as: stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc., including how to operate and maintain (change battery, recognize common mechanical issues) intermediate requiredMay be required to operate manual and/or automated other warehouse/manufacturing equipment (such as a packaging line) intermediate preferredImportant Note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.Responsibilities:Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers. Ensure all scanning is completed correctly. Help train dock employees on new procedures. Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping. Perform picking and packing duties.
