- Execute program plans by managing proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, and financial reporting.
- Proactively identify, track, and mitigate risks to ensure all contract deliverables are met on time.
- Act as the main point of contact for external customers and other key stakeholders, representing the entire program team(s) and Viasat program management team.
- Supervise and oversee a team across multiple locations, providing support and leadership.
- Be a flexible and dedicated problem-solver, ready to dive into the details to help team members overcome challenges.
- Keep IPT leads and upper management informed of the program's overall status.
- 5+ years in technical program or project management, including experience delivering integrated products and services. You should also have experience managing multiple projects at once.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in customer-facing program management, program capture, and driving business growth through proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), and funding requests.
- Skilled in developing, tracking, and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets. This includes creating cost-vs-risk assessments and applying Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques.
- Experience establishing, managing, and overseeing vendors and subcontractors, and removing any blockers related to cost, schedule, or deliverables.
- At least 5 years of experience working as part of a cross-functional team, making programmatic decisions and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project, and experience with engineering change order documentation and processes.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 15%.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Direct experience with satellite modem or other wireless communications systems.
- Proven experience in a technical lead position and a track record of leading and developing geographically dispersed teams.
