CNC Machinists needed in TEMPE!Aerospace & Defense manufacturingLocation: 1515 W 17th St, Tempe, AZ 85281Shift Options: Day shift or Night shift* (*Night Shift positions include 10% pay differential)Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.CNC OPERATOR / MACHINISTRESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Loading material / parts into machine and running program.
  • Daily maintenance on machine (checking fluid levels, cleaning out chips, etc).
  • In-process inspection of parts.
  • Minor program changes, mainly tool offsets.
  • Replacement of worn or damaged tools (inserts, boring bars, end mills, drills, etc).
  • Sign-off of paperwork accompanying parts (MOT, Inspection Traveler)
  • Proper handling of parts.
  • Proper identification of parts / parts containers to maintain traceability to job number & split lot.
EXPERIENCE / TRAINING REQUIRED:
  • Machine operation.
  • Part holding methods.
  • Machine maintenance requirements.
  • Reading and understanding B/P’s including assemblies, dimensions, tolerances, symbols, notes, abbreviations, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, and any other standard nomenclature per customer, government, or industry standards.
  • Use of basic inspection, measuring and test equipment to verify dimensions of product.
  • Basic knowledge of CNC code.
  • Installation and removal of perishable tooling.
  • Company specific handling requirements.
  • Company specific product identification requirements
Requirements:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or trade school
  • Must be at least 18 years old and Authorized to work in the US
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to stand majority of the shift
