- The Network Engineer III plans, designs, and maintains connectivity of enterprise network assets to ensure compliance and secure operations on Classified networks (SIPR, NIPR, JWICS), collaborating with stakeholders to address connectivity requirements and implement necessary configurations to facilitate efficient and secure data transmission.
- They ensure all network switches and routers are operational, properly configured, and compliant with DISA STIG requirements and perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of network switches to ensure optimal performance.
- They configure, maintain, and monitor firewall, intrusion protection, intrusion detection systems, and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control and authentication in accordance with ATO requirements, cybersecurity policies, and standards.
- They implement the necessary security measures to protect specialized systems and networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats and support the planning and implementation of enterprise service connections between networks, systems, and applications across domains.
- They facilitate connections for auditing, authentication, secure cloud computing architecture (SCCA), and Cross Domain Solutions and Guards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards; collaborate with ISSOs and the ISSM in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process; and provide inputs and documentation using designated templates and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, InfoPath, Visio, etc.) to support the security assessment and authorization of TAC systems.
- They are familiar with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems as well as the ITIL framework and service delivery concepts.
- The Network Engineer III is a senior role with extensive experience managing Classified enterprise networks. The Network Engineer III supervises, and mentors subordinate project and Team ManTech staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT- related discipline and at least five (5) years of position specific relevant experience or HS and 13 years of experience; Associates and 11 years of experience
- Must be a United States Citizen
- DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level-II Certification required
- Must be able to be in a stationary position for more than 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
