This role combines administrative support with hands-on involvement in children's enrichment programs. The ideal candidate is flexible, tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about creating a safe, welcoming environment for children and families.Minimum Qualifications:Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to ensure smooth departmental operations.
- Schedule meetings and appointments; manage calendars and departmental communications.
- Handle phone and email inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Maintain contact lists, update rosters, and ensure timely communication with parents and staff.
- Generate reports, prepare presentations, monitor invoices, and process expense reports.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies; ensure proper functioning of office and fitness equipment.
- Coordinate with the Marketing team to create and distribute promotional materials (flyers, posters, social media posts, etc.).
- Perform general clerical duties such as filing, copying, scanning, and data entry.
- Support the day-of operations for children's enrichment classes.
- Assist with classroom setup and supply organization.
- Escort children safely from preschool and after-school programs to enrichment locations.
- Support instructors as needed and ensure a safe, positive environment for all participants.
- Communicate effectively with parents in person, by phone, and via email.
- Manage and maintain accurate class rosters and attendance records.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of fitness areas, including cleaning equipment and tidying spaces like the spin room and group exercise studio.
- Wash and fold towels regularly.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to community inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Support departmental events and JCC-wide special programs.
- Take on additional duties and special projects assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools is a plus.
- First Aid and CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Hours: 25-29 hours per week
- Pay: $15/hour
- Reports To: Program Director
