Associate Editor- PRIHaymarket Media, Inc. is seeking an Associate Editor to join the PRI team. This full time position is located in our New York, NY or Paramus, NJ office, with three days on-site (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a team flex day) and two days remote.Job Overview:The Editorial Services team reviews copy that can pass the rigorous scrutiny of our client’s medical - legal - regulatory committees. Editorial Services works to ensure that medical information is correctly conveyed within the creative execution. The Associate Editor provides essential support in proofreading and copyediting, working closely with the editorial team to ensure the quality, accuracy, and consistency of client deliverables. This role is responsible for adhering to established standards and completing tasks within set deadlines.Skills & Responsibilities:Perform detailed proofreading and copyediting for various projects ensuring all materials are accurate and consistent in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and terminologyCross-check all table, figure, and box citations against the actual tables, figures, and boxesEnsure compliance with both client-specific guidelines and industry standards such as AMANotice inconsistencies across versions and rounds of reviewManage assigned tasks within project timelines, reporting any challenges or delays to senior editorsSeek mentorship from senior editors and apply feedback to improve proofreading skillsExcel in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and is able to manage requirements of multiple accounts without sacrificing accuracyDevelop effective, collaborative working relationships with fellow employees and freelancersFinancial Accountability:Complete timesheets accurately and on timePerform other related duties as requiredQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or associated field1 to 3 years proofreading experience in an agency environmentExperience with pharmaceutical industry strongly preferredMeticulous attention to detail, familiarity with medical terminologyStrong organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines and perform with professionalism and excellence under pressureTeam player able to work independently and collaboratively with content development team and other departmentsAdvanced computer literacy necessary, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications such as PowerPoint and Word, Google Suite such as Slides, Docs, and Adobe AcrobatKnowledge of Workfront a plusWhat We Offer:A competitive compensation packageThe salary range for this position is $61,000 - $65,000.
