- Lead a mobile “strike team” to fill staffing gaps, support high caseloads, and respond rapidly to urgent needs.
- Assess and stabilize regional caseloads, ensuring safety, quality, and timely response for families in crisis.
- Step into active family cases when necessary to maintain continuity of care.
- Collaborate with regional leadership to develop short-term action plans that return regions to stability.
- Coordinate disaster relief response logistics and mobilize Better Together staff to respond to the needs of the community. Cultivate relationships with first responders, other agencies responding to the disaster, and coordinating with local government agencies.
- Assist Centralized Intake as needed to fill in gaps and support the team.
- Onboard, train, and mentor new Family Support Managers to align with Better Together’s standards and values.
- Facilitate in-person training opportunities.
- Provide ongoing professional development in case management, volunteer engagement, and family advocacy.
- Facilitate peer-to-peer learning and best practice sharing across regions.
- Monitor FSM performance, provide constructive feedback, and build skills and confidence.
- Report insights to Regional Executive Directors, highlighting strengths and growth opportunities for FSM teams.
- Ensure all interventions meet compliance, quality assurance, and safety standards.
- Model effective engagement with families, volunteers, and community partners.
- Promote consistency in processes, tools, and documentation across regions.
- Partner with Regional Executive Directors and leaders to identify needs, resource gaps, and training opportunities and provide recommendations and support.
- Provide clear reporting on strike team activities, outcomes, and training progress.
- Contribute to organization-wide initiatives that strengthen family outcomes and volunteer satisfaction.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work or a related field is preferred.
- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
- Bachelor of Science in Human Services (BSHS)
- Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
- Bachelor of Arts in Counseling
- Bachelor of Science in Public Health
- Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a focus on Human Services
- Bachelor of Science in Community Health
- Bachelor of Arts in Nonprofit Management
- Bachelor of Science in Family Studies
- Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services
- Child Welfare Certification from the Florida Certification Board is preferred.
- Available for statewide deployment, sometimes with less than 72 hours’ notice.
- Willing to travel 40–70% of the time depending on regional needs.
- A valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and car insurance are required.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle available for daily work-related travel.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is necessary. Extended hours may be required for events, meetings, training, emergencies, or natural disasters.
- Participation in a monthly on-call schedule is required, with support from local leadership, to address community needs outside of regular business hours.
- Maintain regular communication with team members to coordinate efforts and provide timely updates.
- Ensure accessibility during work hours and on-call shifts through a reliable phone.
- Demonstrate alignment with Better Together’s core values, including ownership, gratitude, love for others, and a partnership-oriented approach.
- Proficiency or ability to quickly learn the following platforms:
- Salesforce

- Basecamp
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 20-30 pounds.
- Perform physical activities such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods during community outreach and home visits.
