Select your correct bargaining unit.FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN A REJECTED BID APPLICATION.5.Under general supervision, the position performs a range of treasury functions to ensure the effective investment and allocation of City funds, prioritizing liquidity management, capital preservation, and the maximization of risk adjusted investment returns; all within the framework of the City of Chicago’s Investment Policy, and performs related duties as required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES· Assists senior Portfolio Managers and the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) in executing investment strategies, monitoring portfolio performance, and ensuring compliance with the City’s Investment Policy.· Assists in the management of short- and long-term investments, ensuring alignment with liquidity needs and risk management objectives.· Assesses available cash across various accounts to ensure the City’s liquidity needs are met for operational funding.· Manages treasury operations, including cash concentration, payment execution, and monitoring cash flows to prevent overdrafts.· Originates and releases wire transactions to meet liquidity requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.· Supports cash flow forecasting and analysis to optimize investment decisions.· Conducts financial analysis, market research, and investment due diligence under the guidance of senior team members.· Monitors portfolio performance and assists in preparing reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.· Maintains accurate records of banking transactions and investment activities, reconciling accounts on a monthly basis.· Assists in special projects as assigned by the CIO and senior Portfolio Manager.Additional duties may be required for this position.Location: 121 N.
