Sterile Processing Tech Job Details Everett, WA
- Location: Everett, Washington (Zip: 98201) Washington healthcare job
- Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center (hospital setting)
- Assignment Length: 6 weeks (travel healthcare contract)
- Shift: Evening Shift, 5x8-hour shifts per week (14:00 - 22:30)
- Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed)
- Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends
- Start Date: September 29, 2025
- Daily Caseload: ~65 surgical cases; 1200 tray volume
- Parking: Facility paid
- Scrub Color: Any (except reddish orange)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1080-$1160
- Minimum 2 years of recent Sterile Processing Tech experience in hospital or trauma center settings
- Certification required: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA (Sterile Processing Technician certification)
- Experience in inpatient, outpatient, and trauma healthcare environments
- Proficiency with Epic charting system and SPM instrumentation management
- Experience with a wide range of surgical specialties: Orthopedics, Urology, Endoscopy/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Thoracic, Neurosurgery, Gynecology, Bariatrics, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, Transplant, Robotics, Implants; Ophthalmology preferred
- High-level disinfection (HLD), sterilization, decontamination, assembly/wrap, case cart, and scrub experience required
- References: Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment in the last 3 years
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- No local candidates (must reside more than 50 miles from facility)
- Perform all aspects of sterile processing including decontamination, assembly, wrapping, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and trays
- Maintain accurate documentation in SPM and complete required training modules
- Support a high-volume surgical department specializing in neurosurgery, orthopedics, robotics, pediatrics, and general service lines
- Collaborate with a teaching-focused healthcare team to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Participate in a 3-day orientation on day shift before transitioning to contracted evening shift
- Demonstrate supply knowledge, case picking, and teamwork in a dynamic hospital environment
