PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
  • Assists for assigned projects. Reviews contract documents and requirements and coordinates construction activity in assigned area.
  • Prepares and updates project schedules for contractors and/or subcontractors. Maintains database of active projects.
  • Assists on pre-job conferences and attends all required project meetings.
  • Assists with project correspondence, including but not limited to, schedules, RFI, proposals and daily reports.
  • Confirms material and equipment requirements with Project Engineer or Manager Coordinates submittals of material specifications with internal contact as needed.
  • Assists with availability of equipment and materials. Orders material, schedules delivery to meet project requirements, and coordinates the maintenance and repair of equipment with Fleet Maintenance department.
  • Assists with data for profitability of all assigned projects. Assists with project billing information to accounting and follows up to assure payment. Reviews cost data and provides forecasting information regarding projects. Investigates and initiates new methods and cost-saving procedures.
  • Assists with final project audit and reviews project procedures to ensure continued improvement.
  • Assists with customer relations for assigned projects.
  • Assists with time sheets, travel, and clerical work for assigned projects
  • Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies.
  • Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace..
Working Conditions:
  • Work hours vary Sunday thru Saturday, with hours based on operational needs.
  • Inter-Island Travel based on operational needs.
Equipment Use:
  • May drive company vehicle to job sites
Mental and Physical Demands:
  • Needs to adapt well in face of workplace stressors such as competing priorities of reasonable or high significance.
  • Needs to be able to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and to interact effectively with people in a positive manner that engenders confidence and trust.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 30lbs.
Communication Demands:
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS:Skills/Knowledge:Math: Basic math to perform daily tasks.Reading: Able to read and understand contract documents.Computer: Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, OutlookSufficient keyboard proficiency for daily tasks.Licenses: Valid Driver's license and favorable abstract requiredEducation/Experience: Working on Bachelor's degree within the college of Engineering or in lieu of working on degree, a minimum of 1-2 years construction industry.EOE / M / F / V / Disabled / AAP
