Overview:At FutureCare our Dietary Aides/Porters are an integral part of the Food & Hospitality Department who ensure proper delivery of nutritional services to our residents. Offers will consider such factors as overall experience, job-related qualifications, location, certifications/training, etc. Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods
  • Serve and deliver food to residents as required
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas as assigned
  • Properly store food utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
  • Transport/deliver food/beverage items to assigned residents
  • Assist Lead Porter or other staff in lifting or transporting large utilities within the kitchen area
  • Load/operate dishwasher machine
  • Ensure proper temperature, chemical supplies, and clean water levels are maintained for proper sanitation
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare environment preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be courteous and friendly at all times
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours or longer
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull food carts and other food utility supplies up to 50lbs
  • Ability to deal with residents, and staff in a tactful, diplomatic and respectful manner
  • Ability to follow all written and verbal instructions
