The individual will serve as a full-time teacher in our Catholic High School and will be responsible for teaching classes as assigned by the principal. Implement the curriculum in accordance with the standards set forth by the Diocese of Cleveland and the Ohio Department of Education. The individual will serve as a full-time teacher in our Catholic high school. The ideal candidate will be able to teach both 2D and 3D art and design.Job Responsibilities:
Teach multiple grade levels and ability levels in the same class
Have experience in drawing and painting in both the beginner and intermediate levels
Carry out other duties as assigned by the principal
Plan and implement lessons consistent with the Diocese of Cleveland curriculum guidelines
Integrate the use of technology effectively into the curriculum
Communicate with parents in a professional and timely manner
Assess students fairly and regularly
Actively supervise students at all times
Job Requirements:
Teaching license or approved non-tax license. Preferred Visual Arts Licensure.
Strong background and experience in teaching high school students
Able to pass FBI/BCI background check
Strong classroom management
Prefer experience with Google Suites and PowerSchool
Prefer Experience teaching urban high school students
Uphold the values of the Catholic faith
VIRTUS certified or willing to be certified
