Type: HybridPay Rate: $60 - $64 /hrPosition Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Android Developer to join our engineering team focused on developing and maintaining Android applications for inflight entertainment systems. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android development, a passion for user experience, and a commitment to engineering excellence.Key Responsibilities:Android DevelopmentDesign, develop, and maintain Android applications for a variety of devices used in inflight entertainment systems.Integrate applications with back-end services and APIs.Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.Collaborate with other engineers to define, design, and ship new features.Mechanical Design & EngineeringDesign and develop mechanical components and enclosures for LRUs (Line Replaceable Units).Perform thermal, structural, acoustic, EMI, and ESD analysis to ensure product reliability.Conduct prototype builds, testing, and validation of mechanical systems.Select appropriate materials and hardware to meet design specifications.Project & Process ManagementMaintain and update design documentation and development schedules.Coordinate with manufacturing and procurement teams for part selection and ordering.Participate in Change Review Board (CRB) meetings to manage design changes and implementation.Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.5-10 years of experience in Android development and mechanical design.Proficiency in Android SDK, Java/Kotlin, and Android Studio.Experience with Pro/E (Creo) MCAD tools and CFD/FEA analysis.Strong understanding of thermal dynamics, material properties, and mechanical design principles.Familiarity with EMI/ESD standards and design for manufacturability/testability (DFM/DFT).Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Pay Details: $62.00 to $64.00 per hourBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
