
Process Operator (2pm-10:30pm)

- Perform operations involving the accurate weighing, mixing, spraying of raw materials used for making all products which includes powders, liquids, creams, solids, pastes, and lotions, in order to meet production schedules.
- Operation of all pumps, tanks, mixers and all associated equipment related to processing.
- Assemble raw materials and accurate introduction of raw materials into mixers or hoppers.
- Ensure that mixers, measuring utensils and hoppers are thoroughly emptied, cleaned and documented as such, when changing from one product to another.
- Read and follow formula directions shown in the Manufacturing Instructions, take proper samples for quality control, maintain accurate batching records, both written and electronic, as required by management (i.e. cGMP and ISO procedures).
- Exercise extreme caution in order to not damage other material or property while operating moving equipment and must at all times exercise extreme caution for the safety of other employees.
- Ensure all openings and closing devices and related equipment are properly secured.
- Keep equipment and surrounding work area clean at all times.
- Relief duties of Tank Court Attendant, as required.
- Mark containers of hazardous waste, such as hazardous off-spec product or obsolete raw materials, etc., as “Hazardous Waste”.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, safety warning labels, and machine instruction manuals.
- Basic writing skills.
- Good math skills, knowledge of metric measures.
- Capable of wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of pumps, valves and piping.
- Knowledge of processing machinery, PCs, and GMPs desirable.
- Experience in Chemical Manufacturing
- Experience in an FDA/GMP environment (documentation practices).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- May be expected to move, carry, and lift approximately100 pounds. May be expected to climb heights of approximately 30 feet. Stand for long periods of time.
- Able to read scales, tape measures, gages, thermometers and other process control equipment. Able to wear respirator and other personal protective equipment, as required.
- Good hand/eye coordination.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Performs necessary quality and inventory control data gathering and input in either written or electronic formats.
- Pneumatic and electric pumps, steam and piping valves, scales, hoist, pickers, mixers, air pallet, material handling equipment, gas/electric forklifts and primemovers.
- Organize and assemble raw materials required in processing.
- Charging of drummed, bagged or bulk raw materials into processing tanks.
- Weighing of raw materials, monitoring of process temperatures, agitation, etc
