- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Provide guidance and support to HR staff, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Conduct and oversee employee relations investigations, ensuring fair and equitable resolutions in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on employee relations matters.
- Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.
- Work closely with department heads to address performance issues and develop strategies for improvement.
- Develop and implement effective onboarding processes to ensure a seamless integration of new hires into the organization.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to facilitate orientation sessions and provide resources for new employees.
- Oversee the leave management process, including FMLA, disability, and other types of leave.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to leave administration.
- Collaborate with the benefits team to administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries and issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations, particularly those related to non-profit organizations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Spanish Speaking Preferred
