Immediate need for an Accounting Manager for a multi-billion-dollar global leader in Arlington, VA. This global leader has been in business for nearly 40 years and even spent millions of dollars on advertising during the Super Bowl!Responsibilities:
- Monitor changes in US GAAP and SEC requirements and ensure accounting practices, reporting, and disclosures are in compliance.
- Work with the external auditors and assisting them with test of controls, interim procedures, quarterly reviews and year-end audits. Partner with colleagues in other departments, including the internal Legal department and Investor Relations, in the drafting of Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting the completion of other regulatory filings. Lead coordination with and provide support for internal and external audits and reviews of SEC filings.
- Coordinate the gathering and preparation of schedules to support financial statement disclosure.
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
- Current CPA license.
- 5 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting at a publicly traded company or public accounting.
- Demonstrate a desire to learn, possess a good attitude, and work well independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with SEC financial reporting (e.g., financial statements within Forms 10-K and 10-Q).
