We’re seeking an Assistant Immigration Specialist who is dedicated to advocacy and service and has experience in immigration legal services.In this role, you’ll work alongside BIA/DOJ accredited specialists and immigration legal experts, helping clients navigate the immigration process. From family sponsorships to DACA renewals, your work will change lives—one application at a time!Key Immigration Services You'll Support:
  • Family Sponsorship
  • Green Card Renewal/Replacement
  • Citizenship Applications
  • TPS (Temporary Protected Status) Applications
  • DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) Applications/Renewals
  • Referrals to Citizenship/ESOL Classes
What You'll Do:
  • Keep Things Organized: Accurately input and maintain participant data in immigration databases, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Manage Files: Organize and maintain physical case files according to contract requirements.
  • Be a Helping Hand: Assist participants with completing immigration documents and scheduling appointments.
  • Engage with the Community: Respond to program inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Stay in the Know: Keep up with the latest immigration policies through training, research, and networking.
  • Assist with Operations: Support staff with scheduling, translating, legal consultations, and program coordination.
  • Spread the Word: Participate in community outreach to connect with more immigrants in need.
  • Keep Learning: Attend workshops, webinars, and trainings to enhance your immigration expertise.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • Education: Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s preferred (foreign credentials accepted!).
  • Experience: 3+ years working with immigrant populations.
  • Attitude: Open to learning, growing, and adapting.
  • Skills: Highly organized, with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using Microsoft Office, digital tools, and social media.
  • Customer Service: Passion for helping people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Time Management: Ability to juggle priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Team Player: A collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Languages: Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Russian is a huge plus!
  • Flexibility: Willing to work evenings and weekends when needed.
