
Municipal CEI Inspector

- Observe and document the contractor’s on-site work for municipal projects to assess progress and compliance with city and project specifications.
- Perform inspections in the following areas:
- Water and sanitary sewer infrastructure (Certified Water Sampler a plus)
- Storm sewer systems
- City streets (Hot Mix Asphalt and concrete)
- ADA-compliant sidewalks and driveway construction
- Traffic signals, lighting, and signage
- Parks and recreation construction projects
- Monitor safety compliance including OSHA 10-hour standards and confined space operations.
- Conduct or oversee sampling and field testing in accordance with local construction requirements.
- Utilize technology and software platforms including:
- Headlight for iPad
- e-Builder project management software
- Office 365 suite
- Adobe Acrobat with e-signature functionality
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily reports and documentation for all inspection activities.
- Ensure traffic control and flagging procedures are compliant and safely executed.
- Collaborate with City of Fort Worth personnel and integrate into their existing inspection teams.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant municipal construction inspection experience.
- Familiarity with public works inspection procedures and compliance standards.
- OSHA 10-hour safety training certification.
- Confined space entry training and flagger/traffic control training.
- Strong computer skills, including Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat (with e-signature).
- Ability to use an iPad for real-time field reporting and photo documentation.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, bend, stoop, and work outdoors for prolonged periods.
- Certified Water Sampler certification.
- Experience using Headlight and e-Builder software.
- Previous experience working with or for the City of Fort Worth.
- Familiarity with ADA standards for sidewalks and pedestrian pathways.
- Knowledge of Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulations.
