Now is a great time to join us as we invest further in our people and sleep innovation. #TeamSleepNumberPosition PurposeThe Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial leadership, decision support, and influence to maximize the effectiveness of operational leaders and drive profitability. Partner with the Supply Chain and Services organizations to achieve key financial and operational objectives, support strategic and business planning, and measure performance/progress against stated objectives.Primary ResponsibilitiesFinancial LeadershipParticipate in standard financial processes that include financial month-end closing, annual operating plan and forecast development, and periodic forecast updates for expense and capital expendituresPrepare, review, and report monthly financial results to ensure accuracy and provide appropriate visibility to business leadersDecision Support and InfluenceProvide analysis, insights, and guidance to allow business leaders to design, implement, and measure profitable business strategies, enhance cost efficiencies, and improve quality and customer experienceMonth-end and ongoing analysis of business performance including expense and KPI reporting vs plan and objectivesIdentify and help implement process and cost improvementsProject work including business case development for operational and capital projects, support for supplier negotiations, metric development and “deep dive” analyses, and other senior management supportOther duties as assignedPosition RequirementsRequires a minimum of 5+ years analysis experienceFoundational accounting knowledgeAdvanced financial modeling and tool building, problem solving, and analytical thinkingBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred but not requiredSelf-driven, persuasive, and independent with attention to detail & follow-upStrong business acumen and sense of accountability/ownershipProven ability to build strong working relationships and influence business partners across organizations.Demonstrated time and project management skills; ability to multi-task, manage competing deadlines, and function effectively under pressureComfortable presenting to executives/senior leadership teamsAdvanced Excel skills and familiarity with other business intelligence tools (Power BI), knowledge of accounting system (Oracle) and Hyperion Essbase preferredNormal physical exertion within an office environmentWorking ConditionsThis role is Hybrid offering a balance of remote work with the opportunity to collaborate on-site at Sleep Number's Headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota.WellbeingOur company's purpose is to improve the health and wellbeing of society.Wellbeing is more than a catchphrase - it's a movement that permeates our company and through our team members.
