What you'll do...Position: Principal Product ManagerJob Location: 702 SW 8th Street, Bentonville AR 72716Duties: Develops technical product specifications for the architecture of underlying platform components (for example, identity, content management and payment processing) by using artifacts such as systems flows, product requirement documents and logical data models. Develops and champions a product strategies for one or more complex platform components, and roadmap for one or more platform product areas in support of architectural vision and principles established by the office of the CTO by leveraging consumer insights, competitive analysis and insights of emerging technologies to identify new product opportunities and enhancements; and working with multiple functions to build and evaluate business cases to support product investment decisions. Supports product implementation and deployment by engaging with Platform Engineering, Scrum Masters and managing other technical product managers during implementation to make scope trade off decisions; working closely with services product managers to launch products on top of foundational components of the platform and ensure their adoption; coordinating post-launch activities to validate that the product works as designed and that acceptance was successful; managing the development of training materials; training and supporting users on new product features; and defining, tracking and improving key product metrics. Leads one to three Technical Product managers in the development of product specifications and the execution of a small technical product portfolio (2 to 3 platform components). Manages the evolution of multiple components of an eCommerce platform by collaborating with architects, services product managers and VP of Platform architecture to develop, maintain and evangelize the technical product roadmap(s) associated to his/her area(s). Manages vendor relationships by identifying emerging technology platforms; evaluating and selecting vendors or potential technology acquisitions; negotiating agreements and contracts; managing partners integration; securing necessary engagement and resource alignment for the creation of co-developed product features; and managing the budget (resources and CapEx) associated with a platform component build. Telecommuting / work from home is permitted.Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering plus 6 years of experience in product management or related experience OR Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering plus 3 years of experience in product management or related experience.Skills required: Must have experience with: defining long-term vision and strategy for DevOps, Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD) and Platform engineering products; developing and enhancing a product family by developing and managing product roadmaps for Devops products; DevOps usage and Platform engineering gathering, developing, and documenting requirements; collecting and analyzing developer usage and product data for Container and cloud deployments; turning customer insights into actionable priorities and initiatives for designing and implementing an automation framework; defining user and business acceptance criteria and roll out strategy for Developer experience using CI-CD pipeline; managing risks and dependencies for CI-CD pipelines and DevOps process; prioritizing product backlog using various prioritization frameworks to enable best Developer experience related to CICD; developing solutions to business challenges by communicating requirements to key partners; developing and communicating business plans and priorities for DevOps process; driving the execution of business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; communicating status and insights related to product performance; engaging with key partners to deliver and support initiatives for improving the platform developer experience; setting objectives and key performance indicators for products by automating the entire DevOps pipeline, including CI/CD cycles, app performance monitoring, infrastructure and configurations; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders, soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency; creating and communicating a strategy for the development of a product for Platform engineering and DevOps; working with teams to identify performance bugs and ensure the product is up to par in terms of function, design, and user experience for CICD process; and thinking strategically throughout every phase of a product's development for build CICD pipeline and DevOps. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.Salary Range: $110,000 to $220,000 / year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
