  • Shift information: PRN- Evenings and weekends
  • Clients: Providing Crisis Counseling for those impacted by March and May severe weather. Will provide direct oversight to the team members, probably 2-3 total PRN.
  • Location: Working in the Community daily – Iron County
  • MUST HAVE skills for this position: Flexible schedule outside of standard work times, ability to engage and provide support, ability to travel to Iron County

OverviewBJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Franois, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.Preferred QualificationsRole PurposeLeads a team of crisis counselors in the field and completing community outreach to understand and match the community needs with the resources offered by the team.Responsibilities * Acts as the team lead for a group of counselors in the community by providing training, debriefing and supervision.
  • Provides clinical oversight to ensure that the crisis counselors are assessing the mental health needs/ safety for the community members.
  • Uses the data collected by the team to complete ongoing needs assessment.
  • Coordinates data collection activities via the mobile application and assess for accuracy before approval.
  • Coordinates the teams outreach efforts and goes out with the teas as needed.
