Rye Country Day School is seeking a Head Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach beginning February 23, 2026. Rye Country Day School is a coeducational, Prek-12, college preparatory school located in Westchester County, New York dedicated to providing students with an excellent education using both traditional and innovative approaches. We expect and promote moral responsibility and strive to develop strength of character within a respectful school community.Specific responsibilities of the position include:
  • Effectively planning and organizing both practices and competition calendars
  • Teaching and training a team of beginners through advanced level lacrosse athletes.
  • Creating an inclusive, exciting, and challenging environment each day
  • Collaborating with the assistant coaches in planning and communication
  • Working with the Director of Athletics to hire Assistant Coaches when necessary.
  • Maintaining a safe environment at all times
  • Communicating with athletes, parents, coaches, and opponents in a professional manner
  • Attend Spring Trip
Desired qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-years successful high school girls lacrosse coaching.
  • A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive school community
  • Energetic and enthusiastic, flexible and patient
