Benefits begin the month following the hire date.Salary:$118,000 - $126,000SUMMARYThe Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the strategic planning of production schedules and ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet customer and production demands. This role requires a strong focus on coordinating resources efficiently to maintain a streamlined production flow while managing inventory to prevent shortages or overstock situations.Responsibilities:Production Scheduling:
  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimizing downtime.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely completion of manufacturing processes and adherence to schedules.
  • Adjust production schedules in response to changes in demand, resource availability, or unforeseen disruptions.
Inventory Control:
  • Implement inventory control strategies to maintain accurate stock levels aligned with production schedules and aftersales customer demand.
  • Monitor inventory turnover rates, analyze demand patterns, and forecast future inventory needs to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to manage inventory replenishment and optimize inventory holding costs.
Resource Allocation:
  • Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support production schedules.
  • Optimize staffing levels and production capacities to maximize efficiency and output without compromising quality standards.
Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization in production scheduling and inventory management.
  • Implement improvements to streamline workflows, reduce lead times, and enhance overall efficiency in production and inventory control.
  • Optimize inventory levels to both meet customer responsiveness and minimize capital impacts.
  • Drive Plan for Every Part (PfEP) activities in tandem with Warehouse and Manufacturing teams.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Generate reports on KPI's, inventory levels, and scheduling accuracy.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to enhance operations.
Team Management:
  • Lead and mentor a team responsible for production scheduling and inventory control activities.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team operates efficiently and meets performance targets.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., ISM) are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in production scheduling, inventory management, or related roles within a manufacturing or production environment. Experience in high mix / low volume engineered products preferred.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software, ERP systems, and inventory management tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • The Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient coordination of production activities and inventory control, contributing significantly to meeting production targets and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support business objectives.
