- Develop and maintain our Android Study application and test suites
- Work closely with iOS engineers to align our mobile experiences and architectural patterns across platforms
- Collaborate with the design team to implement UX changes and inform them of platform-specific behavior
- Ideate with PMs to flesh out technical requirements, risks, and complexity
- Work with the larger engineering team to develop and iterate on our values, best practices, and code style guidelines
- 4+ years of native Android development experience in Kotlin
- Strong knowledge of the Android platform SDK and Jetpack frameworks
- XML-based layout proficiency
- Experience deploying apps to the Play Store
- Reactive architectural patterns/RxJava proficiency
- JUnit and Espresso framework proficiency
- Familiarity with Android accessibility best practices
- Familiarity with iOS platform and Swift language
- An engineer’s mindset - writing code that will stand the test of time and address the problems at hand, rather than focusing on quick fixes
- A desire to collaborate with the team, knowledge share, and work together to find optimal solutions
