Overview:A kind and respectful family on the Upper East Side is seeking a stellar nanny/ family assistant to care for their 3 children (aged 12, 9 and 6 years) and keep their home organised and running smoothly. The schedule will be 8am-6pm Monday through Thursday, with flexibility required on occasion. There is additional childcare, housekeeping, and driving support, so the candidate will be working as part of a happy, collaborative team, and therefore must be team players, and able and willing to work harmoniously with others. The family spend July through August (inclusive) at their home in the Hamptons, so candidates should be willing to work their regular schedule there during this time (the family will cover all transport costs, as well as pay an overnight fee). All of the children are in full-time school. This is an ASAP start. Responsibilities:
  • Assist with school drop off and pick up/ assist with dropping off and picking up the children from extra curricular activities/ generally oversee the children when needed
  • Keep the home organized, order groceries and household supplies (and keep on top of inventory and items to be re-stocked), organize the children’s wardrobes and toys (and throw out/ replenish as needed), tidy up the children’s bedrooms and playroom, very simple dinner prep for the family (e.g. grilled chicken/ grilled salmon and rice/ vegetables), run errands, and more.
  • Manage the children’s schedules e.g. dental appointments, doctor’s appointments, birthdays etc.
  • Manage minor maintenance in the home e.g. the ice machine breaking/ lightbulbs going out, and preemptively assist with vacation or event preparation (e.g. an upcoming birthday party or playdate)
  • No people management is required
Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will be a smart, seasoned professional, with the ability to organize a family/household in a high-end capacity, while also being warm and engaging with children.
  • Candidates should be consummate, kind team-players
Requirements:
  • US passport, Green Card or EAC
  • Candidates should have a clean driving record and valid driving license, and be comfortable driving in the Hamptons
Salary and Benefits:
  • $40-$55+/hr + all industry standard benefits and a healthcare stipend or reimbursement (HRA)
  • $100/night when staying overnight/ in the Hamptons
