Peer Mentors are one of the primary LSAMP representatives responsible for interacting with students. They Identify and assist peers who struggle in designated STEM subject area. They also assist instructors with organizing labs.1) Meet with assigned faculty mentor weekly to discuss weekly assignments and receive guidance. Tutors identify and assist peers/classmates who struggle in your designated subject area. Learning Assistants setup and organize labs as directed by the instructor.
2) Complete all other program-specific assignments by the posted deadlines.
3) Log records of tutoring and other assigned activities in a timely manner.United States citizen or permanent resident.
Member of a historically underrepresented racial and ethnic minority group in STEM discipline (African American, Alaska Native, American Indian, Hispanic, Native Hawaiian and Native Pacific Islander).Undergraduate full-time currently enrolled for classes at an IN LSAMP Campus
Enrolled in a STEM major that qualifies under the LSAMP NSF STEM Classification of Instructional Programs
