Job SummaryBased upon divisional and team member needs, and a sound understanding of applicable business or clinical operations and industry requirements, formulates and defines large and/or complex objectives due to the interruption of normal operations. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems, considering software applications, capacity, resource availability, operating time and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and cinical risks, documentation of requirements. Participates in project leadership by documenting scope and defining implementation procedures. Provides project management, often leading work on new implementations, incident response, and handling multiple projects simultaneously. Documents and drives best practices throughout the system. Team members in this position are effective and self-sufficient, and regularly provide guidance and training to team members across the organization.Essential Functions
  • Aware of the implications of applying new/differing best practice to the current business environment, along with an understanding of relevant business or clinical systems and industry requirements, leads the use of research and analysis to define large and/or complex systems objectives for developing new, or improving existing, response mechanisms.
  • Accountable for appropriate risk assessments, working with users to define their needs in the event of a disaster, documenting those requirements, and working to mitigate the impact of loss related to those needs.
  • Takes ownership of the operational support for assigned facilities, including leading the creation of written response plans and facilitating knowledge transfer between leaders, teams, and individuals involved in support.
  • Manages and maintains customer relationships, and resolves their concerns. Leads and coaches others in troubleshooting issues during an incident. Accountable for resolution of issues, and leads collaboration with support teams to resolve improvement items discovered during real life incidents or execises, using established BA procedures for incident response and situation management.
  • Leads risk assessments, and the analysis of incidents through incident debriefing and information gathering. Making changes to response plans and incident response protocols based on previous responses.
  • Effectively communicates to leadership the status and resolution plan for complex issues in technology, plant operations, security, and other issues impacting operations.
  • Remains current with business or clinical requirements and needs, based upon future industry trends and changes understanding the implications for existing technology. Understands both the current and future state best practices, and is able to define and articulate pros, cons and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Provides mentorship to less senior team members, and is accountable as a role model for customer service excellence. Seen and used by team members as a “go to” person for expertise in business systems analysis. May also be seen as an expert in the industry outside of the organization.
Qualifications
  • Required Bachelor's Degree In related field
  • Required 2 years of relevant experience hospital emergency preparedness
  • Preferred Master's Degree In related field
  • Able to work on-call rotation outside of regular business hours (every fourth week)
