- Officiate games (flag football, soccer, basketball, baseball, and more) fairly and consistently, while ensuring the safety of all participants.
- Maintain a fun and supportive game environment that emphasizes sportsmanship over competition.
- Engage with players and coaches in a positive, encouraging manner—offering age-appropriate guidance and correcting behavior with professionalism and care.
- Serve as a mentor and role model, especially for first-time players.
- Clearly explain rules to players and coaches to promote understanding and development.
- Collaborate with site leadership and other officials to ensure smooth operations throughout game day.
- Assist with field or court setup, maintenance, and teardown, ensuring facilities are ready and clean.
- Represent i9 Sports in a professional and friendly manner with families and venue staff.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs (e.g., equipment bins, field markers).
- Able to stand, walk, run, and move around the field or court for extended periods.
- Willing to work outdoors or indoors, depending on the sport and season.
- Comfortable being active in varying weather conditions (heat, wind, light rain, etc.).
- Prior experience officiating or playing youth sports (any sport) is strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of the rules and flow of at least one major youth sport (training provided for others).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Positive attitude and a passion for working with kids and families.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Available to work weekends throughout the season (typically 4–8 hours on Saturdays and/or Sundays).
- Officiating certification is a plus, but not required.
