Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.Job Summary:The Receiver, Exciter, and Back-End Processing (REBEP) Department is the focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology within Raytheon. We have an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer who is seeking to advance their strong academic background and experience in digital and/or RF/Microwave system theory and design, including architectures, subsystems, and components to help develop Radar Receiver, Exciter, and signal processing products and technologies.Responsibilities include design, analysis, and hands on integration and testing of RF and digital components, circuits, and subsystems plus providing technical support to production activities. Team leadership skills including cost and schedule management plus proposal writing and presentation experience are desired.This Hardware Design Engineer role will be based either in Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA and 100% on-site.Responsibilities to Anticipate:Digital and or RF/Microwave circuit and sub-system design, modeling, simulation, and verification.Integration and test at component, CCA, and subsystem levels.Transition to production and technical support to manufacturing and test engineers.Opportunities to manage small projects or processes within area of responsibility.Opportunities to travel to both domestic and international integration sites as well as to customer and subcontractor facilities.Basic Qualifications:Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior work experience.Two (2) years of experience in digital and/or RF component analysis, design, and/or test.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Preferred Qualifications:BS degree in Electrical Engineering.Background designing, testing, and troubleshooting analog and digital CCAs.Integration and test of CCAs and subsystems.Hands-on experience with design simulation tools such as ADS, CSTs, HyperLynx and Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition and analytical tools such as Matlab or equivalent.Experience working in a laboratory environment using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, phase noise analyzer (PNA), spectrum analyzers, real time spectrum analyzers, and performance network analyzers to test and verify the functions of digital and RF signal circuits and subsystems.Experience in a production environment.What We Offer:Whether you’re just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a robust total rewards package that goes above and beyond with compensation; healthcare, wellness, retirement and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
