Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Certified Pharmacy Technician will play a crucial role in delivering pharmacy services, assisting and supporting pharmacists in an ambulatory setting. This position involves various tasks including prescription processing, inventory management, and customer service.Responsibilities
  • Enter and fill prescriptions, manage will call, and perform other tasks as needed.
  • Handle prior authorizations efficiently.
  • Provide distributive pharmacy services and support for pharmacists.
  • Prepare prescription orders for patient dispensing.
  • Maintain and manage pharmacy inventory.
  • Assist with extemporaneous and bulk compounding of prescriptions and over-the-counter items.
  • Monitor reorder points, restock prescription and non-prescription areas, and remove expiring products.
Essential Skills
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
  • Proficiency in prior authorization and order entry processes.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Experience with pharmacy benefits management.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with computer systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in retail pharmacy settings.
  • Data entry skills.
Work EnvironmentThe position is based in an outpatient pharmacy processing about 600 prescriptions processed daily. The working hours are Monday through Thursday from 8am to 8pm, Friday from 8am to 6pm. Shifts will be either from 8am to 4pm or 12pm to 8pm, with no weekend work required.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
