- Develop and negotiate engineering scope for commercial and industrial projects
- Perform sophisticated load calculations using Trane Trace 700 software
- Conduct life-cycle cost analyses to optimize system performance and energy efficiency
- Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulations
- Partner with operations teams to align construction budgets with engineering requirements
- Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, electrical, structural, and civil teams
- Manage relationships with corporate clients including architects, developers, and contractors
- Design comprehensive HVAC systems including ductwork, air distribution, and piping
- Develop complete plumbing systems from sanitary/vent to domestic water distribution
- Conduct field inspections and provide technical guidance to design teams
- Mentor Revit designers/drafters and mechanical engineers
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- Active Professional Engineer license
- 5-10 years of commercial/industrial HVAC design experience
- 5-10 years of mechanical and plumbing system design or project management experience
- Experience with Trane Trace 700 load and energy modeling software
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
- Understanding of mechanical system costs and installation processes
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
