- Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage and determine the appropriate repair methods.
- Perform repairs on vehicle bodies, including dent removal, panel replacement, frame straightening, and welding.
- Sand, grind, and prime damaged areas before applying paint or refinishing materials.
- Apply paint, clear coats, and other finishes to restore vehicles to their original condition, matching paint colors and textures as required.
- Replace damaged parts such as bumpers, fenders, and doors with new or refurbished components.
- Use frame straightening equipment to restore the structural integrity of vehicles.
- Perform repairs following collision damage, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
- Occasionally explain repair processes to customers and provide updates on job status if needed.
- Accurately document all repairs, parts used, and labor time for each job.
- Proven experience as an auto body technician or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using auto body repair tools and equipment such as welders, sanders, paint guns, and frame machines.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle structures, collision repair techniques, and refinishing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality repairs.
- Physical ability to lift heavy parts, bend, and work in tight spaces.
- ASE certification in auto body repair or I-CAR certification is a plus.
