DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking an Interdisciplinary Systems Engineer to join the centralized Technical Program Management (TPM) organization on Kuiper, to drive alignment across all teams for cross-cutting program goals. The candidate will establish and drive mechanisms and processes for cross-functional alignment for technical requirements, deliverables, integration and deployment, as well as own and manage the overall Kuiper Plan of Record.This position is highly autonomous and requires a technical background and experience creating and driving high-level strategic initiatives. The candidate will evaluate, develop, and deliver solutions for the lifecycle of complex interdisciplinary system design problems for which the technical strategy may not yet be defined.Your ability to take large, complex projects, break them into manageable pieces, and deliver timely results is invaluable. You must be fully competent in a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project life-cycle and exhibit demonstrated proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking.Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Redmond, WA, USABASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
4+ years of experience in a technical lead, systems engineer, or technical program management role
4+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams delivering products on schedule.
7+ years of experience in hardware, software and system integration
Proficiency with at least one schedule tracking tools such as MS Project, SmartSheet or alternative.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMasters' degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
Experience developing high-performance systems for aerospace applications or systems operating in extreme environments.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Track record of successfully delivering complete systems (hardware, firmware, software) on time, to scope, with high quality.
Ability to regularly engage with senior stakeholders and influence across the organization.
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to work successfully across all engineering disciplines.
High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.

The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
