From the moment a seed is planted through to harvest, crops need to be protected from weeds, insects and diseases as well as droughts and floods, heat and cold.Syngenta Crop Protection is headquartered in Switzerland.Job DescriptionThe Biologicals Specialist will strive to be an industry-leading source of biological product information and a key training resource for our internal sales teams and customers, ensuring they have a deep understanding of our products and their function within key crops. Showcasing our current products, as well as new technologies, in demonstration plots with key customers is another focus area.Territory: Southern IL & MODuties:
  • Territory Planning: Develop annual business plans with key retailers and conduct quarterly reviews to achieve sales milestones.
  • Sales Achievement: Meet sales targets using Qlik reporting and monthly reviews with area managers to track progress and adjust tactics.
  • Technical Training: Provide internal and external training on biological products to establish Syngenta as the industry technical leader.
  • Demo Trials: Organize product trials to generate yield data for marketing and support new product launches.
  • Sales Forecasting: Complete monthly rolling forecasts using Excel to project current and future sales performance.
Qualifications
  • Agricultural Expertise: Bachelor's degree (Agricultural Science preferred) with strong agronomy fundamentals and plant physiology/abiotic stress understanding.
  • Sales & Account Management: Minimum 3 years agribusiness sales experience (preferably fertilizer/plant nutrition/biologicals) with proven account management and demand creation skills.
  • Communication & Technical Skills: Strong presentation abilities, basic computer proficiency, and capability to interact effectively with technical and commercial stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
  • Territory Knowledge: Familiarity with local market dynamics and customer base.
  • Industry Specialization: Experience specifically in biologicals or specialty fertilizer markets.
  • Travel Requirement: 30% travel with minimal overnight stays required.
