We are looking to hire a Housekeeper.As a Housekeeper at MercyOne, you will perform a variety of major and routine cleaning throughout the interior of the hospital complex.
  • Washes windows, walls, ceilings, light fixtures, cleans all horizontal and vertical surfaces.
  • Analyzes floor conditions, determines proper cleaning method to ensure proper appearance.
  • Operates vacuum.
  • Dry mops and wet mops and spot cleans any type of floor.
  • Coordinates all environmental services activity with the unit or department involved to minimize problems and ensure safety.
  • Performs special isolation cleaning according to established procedures as required.
  • Removes soiled linen from beds, washes beds, remakes beds with clean linen on patient room transfers and dismissals.
Schedule:
  • Days 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, rotating weekends and holidays.
General Requirements:
  • Previous janitorial and cleaning experience preferred.
  • Floor machine operation experience preferred.
Education:
  • Completion of high school or GED is preferred but not required.
