The successful candidate will lead and support research projects aimed at developing new concepts and innovative approaches for the application of AI/ML. Additionally, they will be involved in extending existing behavioral analysis technology to new protocols, platforms, and domains.This position will also contribute to the exploration and prototyping of AI/ML applications for Boeing's enterprise, addressing various challenges. The ideal candidate has expertise and interest in detecting cyber anomalies and attributing their impact to mission critical functionality in an effort to improve the Cyber Security posture of platforms.Lastly, the role will be dedicated to ensuring successful technology transitions from the research environment to Boeing programs, as well as to external customers.This position can be based out of Arlington, VA or Hazelwood, MO.Position Responsibilities:Leads the development, implementation, and sustainment of product security and resiliency throughout the requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support lifecycle.Leads the development and enhancement of system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements.Ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support.Leads the definition and identification of product security requirements for suppliers of components and subsystems for integration into complex Boeing products and services.Leads coordination with governments, customers, suppliers, and industry to identify risks and improve industry and regulatory security standards and requirements for programs and interfacing systems.Leads research and development activities resulting in innovative solutions.Leads the advisement of customers on maintaining product security and certification, including security consequences of modifying products and services.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science3+ years of experience programming with C, C++, Python and/or shell scripts.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Active Top Secret ClearanceProficiency with AI/ML algorithms, techniques, frameworks, and libraries (such as TensorFlow, numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TorchScript)Proficiency in developing and implementing AI/ML models for cyber security applicationsExperience with autonomous decision-making and path-planning, behavior prediction, natural language processing (NLP), and reinforcement learning optimizationExperience in network detection and back propagation for neural networksProficiency in mathematics, including differential equationsExperience with model compression and/or model deploymentExperience leading projects, interfacing with customers, and demonstrating an ability to deliver high quality implementation, testing, and documentation of resultsExperience working with cross-functionally with leadership, peers, and internal and external customers to understand and drive requirementsTypical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
