- Execute the design, and development for specialty tooling and equipment using sound engineering principles and adhering to engineering standards, practices, procedures, and product requirements.
- Develop tooling of medium to high complexity through Mechanical, Electrical, Software Programming and Motion Control design.
- Proactively communicate and deliver assignments on time.
- Identify and mitigate technical risk.
- Communicate technical detail to fabricators and technicians through the generation of fabrication drawings, specifications, and direct communication.
- Generate equipment documentation including operating procedures, maintenance guides, training material, technical reports, and functional test instructions.
- Track and trend equipment performance and drive improvement projects to mitigate the leading causes for lost productivity, or quality non-conformances.
- Contribute to the success of others by providing feedback and technical input during design reviews and verifications.
- Interface with a broad, multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to obtain commercial nuclear site entry.
- Support 24/7 manufacturing operation, including emergency response, and scheduled projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- At least 3 years of experience in an engineering role.
- Relocation to Wilmington, NC is required.

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficient in 3D CAD design and computer skills.
- Solid understanding of the principles of Motion Control, PLCs, and programming
- Experience with the selection, use, and design of motion control components suitable to operate mechatronic devices.
- Ability to troubleshoot improperly functioning equipment and implement the proper changes.
- Ability to assess technical risk and devise suitable means to mitigate.
