Automated Test Engineer, MidThe Opportunity:When a user tries a new system, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. That’s why we need you, a quality assurance analyst who’s eager to help thoroughly test software and ensure that our team releases the best system possible.As a Systems Test Engineer on our team, you’ll work with testers, developers, and engineers in an agile environment evaluating software development projects. You’ll build test plans with test cases based on user stories. You'll create automated test scripts utilizing automated tools and software development experience. You'll work with System Administrators and Network Engineers on standing up test environments to perform the testing. You'll build upon automated test scripts to create regression tests to ensure new development did not affect overall functionality. You’ll generate data and execute test cases to see how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool.   • 2+ years of experience writing and executing Automated Tests
  • Experience documenting and tracking defects
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience with coding languages, including Java, C#, Perl, SQL, HTML, CSS, or Python
  • Experience in a lead role and developing in an automated testing environment
  • Knowledge of the Software Design Lifecycle (SDLC) process, and network environments, including routing and switching concepts
  • Ability to author and execute test procedures
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ Certification within 6 months of start date
Nice If You Have:

  • Knowledge of network configurations
  • Knowledge of JIRA, GitHub, Confluence, and Jenkins
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Secret clearance

The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
