Our intimate, award-winning hotel allows our guests to experience the Northwest's greatest escape.Fireside is our casual indoor/outdoor lounge, which is a favorite of locals and hotel guests alike - whether it's cocktails on the patio or a glass of local wine by the fire.We are seeking to add a high-volume experienced part-time server with great spirit, cocktail and food knowledge. Wine knowledge is a great plus, being we are in WA wine county. Engaging in conversation and making sure the guest is having the best experience, is what we strive for here at Willows Lodge. The ideal candidate knows how to handle a rush and fill the low times.If making meaningful connections, figuring out what it takes and stepping it up to win the day is what you do, and you love it, we want you!   • Prepare the restaurant pre-shift for the service ahead
  • Greet guests as they arrive or move about the restaurant
  • Guide guests on their culinary journey through descriptive selling of the menu
  • Be accurate in your order taking, confirming all special requests
  • Be the master of the menu, understanding the details to enhance the conversation
  • Work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
  • Assist guests who have concerns to guide them to a resolution that leaves them happy
  • Finalize the experience through timely and accurate bill presentation
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Wage range: $16.66/Hour - $16.66/Hour + Tips
  • Eligible for medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and life insurance under our existing group plans
  • Eligible for 401(k) retirement plan with employer match following 1 year of service under our existing plan
  • 11 days of PTO accrued in the first year based on an employee working 40 hours each week

QualificationsWhat we are looking for:
  • Someone with an engaging and welcoming personality
  • Someone with 2-4 years of food service experience
  • Someone with knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
  • Someone who can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Someone with a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
  • Someone with excellent communication skills
  • Current WA State food handler's permit
  • Current WA State MAST permit
  • Ability to work afternoon/evening shifts, in addition to weekends and holidays
Compensation RangeThe compensation for this position is $16.66/Yr. - $16.66/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
